Alexis Sophia Tinaz is the founder and principal of Alexis Sophia Design, a New York interior design studio serving clients throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Established in 2020, the studio creates homes with character, warmth and a deeply personal point of view.
A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Alexis brings over a decade of experience in high-end residential interiors. Her experience includes Upper West Side and Harlem brownstone renovations and apartment combinations across Manhattan, informing a practice that extends throughout the tri-state area.
The studio welcomes projects at every scale, from decorating, styling and furnishing a room to full gut renovations and ground-up homes. Alexis works alongside clients, architects and builders to bring architecture, materials and the finishing layers into a cohesive whole.
She approaches a home through its proportions, its character and the life unfolding within it. Period detail and contemporary comfort, vintage furniture and carefully chosen modern pieces find a natural balance.
